Canine: Nelly - A Great Dane

Dear Dog Wizard Staff,

Much thanks to you all for your help throughout Nelly’s training. I’ve always said she’s been a good dog, but you’ve given us so many more opportunities. As you might remember, my main concern was her unpredictability. She can be very excitable or over bearing and coupled with her presence as a Great Dane, can also be physically intimidating. Before I thought about taking her to public places, I had to question every situation I might encounter. The thought of leaving her cooped up in the house was just as stressful as taking her somewhere and risking the chance of her knocking over a child or tearing after another dog.

The training process was very user friendly for both of us. Nelly has always been a stubborn and strong willed dog. I am probably a little gun shy on disciplining her, but the program made us both quick studies, and she now has the focus to do many different commands. The park is our favorite spot. From Nelly gliding precariously down the sliding board, to sitting with me on a park bench, she has absolutely been a reward to walk before and after work. Her potential seems limitless and shecatches on so quick to new tricks and games. I look forward to public outings where I can bring her and show her off. She truly deserves all the praise and attention she receives.

I can’t thank you all enough. I thought I had it good before, but this is priceless. We are a very, very happy team. THANK YOU!!!
